Revolver Digital Media Studio is a privately owned and operated media studio outside of Portland, Oregon, started in late 2005 by Jeremiah L. Scott, Chris Roller, and Bryan R. Thompson. In January 2008, the group was hired by Benjamin James to complete post production for a television pilot entitled Captured, and ultimately ended up offering him an ownership position. Funny how those things work out.
Revolver DMS has worked for a variety of clients ranging from northwest indie music artists to well-known actors in of Portland. We are known for our creative, collaborative process, our client focus, and our fearless approach to gritty, authentic stories and characters that are unique in style and tone.
We shoot music videos, film shorts, commercials, features, and more. We want to work with you on whatever creative visual project you need. Want to know more? Check out our Portfolio.
I’ve written several projects, but the majority of my contributions come from the producing side of the industry. I grew up in Forest Grove, Oregon, where I took an interest in film at a very young age. I spent the better part of my high school career directing, writing, and producing several half hour films about a super hero by the name of Can Man. In the spring of 2007, I stumbled upon a television contest that perfectly fit a pilot concept I’d been developing. I filmed the piece in three days with a week turn around for the post production which I hired Revolver to do.
I was born in North Dakota and it’s been an upward spiral ever since. But then again, that’s unavoidable. I decided to try my luck in Portland and enrolled in the Art Institute of Portland. I began to work on student projects with Bryan and Jeremiah. I produced visual effects on both Simple Things and One Step after which, we decided to form Revolver. I directed my first project, “If Ever There’s a Reason”, a music video for the band Derby. I am the graphic designer, visual effects artist, and original music composer for Revolver DMS.
I’m a founding member of RevolverDMS. Photography and video projects have been part of my life as long as I can remember. I live behind the lens. I’ve always found an attraction between the imagery of the frame and the imagery of the story.
My name is Bryan R. Thompson. I’m a film school graduate from 2006 and a founding member of Revolver Digital Media Studio, LLC. I like to tell stories, whether through scripts, directing, or editing. My life has provided me with a bent perspective and a humbled beginning, a romantic at heart, digital filmmaking has been my home and canvas for which I’ve chosen to hone my craft. After finishing my degree in 2006 I decided the best place to start in the industry was where most start, as an office assistant.
